MK-IV Three
Diver Intercom |
|
The MK-IV Military Three
Diver Intercom (hardwire) was designed by request from the United States
Navy Divers. It will support military diving profiles, allowing
two divers and a standby diver clear underwater communications. The
system is heavy duty and easy to use. The MK-IV can support high-quality, preamplified
as well as standard 150-ohm microphones.
The MK-IV offers an auxiliary
connector for use with He02 unscramblers. Isolated audio circuits
ensure the quality of the divers speech is second to none! The
computer-controlled battery system ensures your batteries will
be strong and safe from over-discharging.
The MK-IV control station has
features other boxes can only dream about. If your dive profile
calls three divers, MK-IV is the system for you! |

The unique battery system utilizes a long-life, heavy-duty
Hawker Cyclon 12 volt, rechargeable 6-cell battery pack. It is
charged from the front panel using the 90 to 240 volt battery
charger (internal). There is no need to open the housing to charge
the battery pack. Further more, you don't have to worry about
finding and installing 6-volt spring-type batteries, which is
normally the case with older style intercoms.
The voltage level indicator is green
when the batteries are fully charged. The yellow LED illuminates
at 8.0 Volts giving you approximately 30 minutes of use. The
red LED along with an intermittent tone alerts you that approximately
10 minutes are remaining (at 7.0 volts). The tone continues and
the red LED will start flashing when the batteries are about
to shut the system down. |
 |
The Heavy Duty housing is rugged and made to endure
the harsh marine environment. Plenty of rubber bumpers are located
in convenient places. The robust handle make it easy to carry
the package. |
 |
The top storage cover can be removed and stored in a convenient
place when it is not necessary to have it attached. The upper
housing is o-ring sealed. When the housing is closed and firmly
locked in place, the o-ring helps keep out moisture. |
 |
The top storage lid is an ideal place to store a headset with
boom microphone or hand-held microphone, spare parts, or small
items you would need on a dive site.
Dimensions of the inside of the storage area: height:
5", depth: 10", width: 13" |
