The Guardian Full Face Mask (GFFM).

Designed With Divers In Mind!!!

With over 60 years of diving experience and having sold almost every type of Full Face Masks on the market, it was easy to see there was a need for something better. OTS put together a Design Team consisting of Mr. John Hott, Mr. Michael Pelissier, Mr. Charlie Van Tassel (outside consultant) and Mr. Jerry Peck.

Charlie was primarily tasked to design a 2nd stage regulator that will function with a full face mask. John & Mike were instrimental in getting a side mounted 2nd stage design. Jerry concentrated on the fine adjustments of the double seal design.

A common problem with most FFM on the market today, is the seal. The lack of a good seal causes the diver to use air quicker and can interfere with the divers ability to hear if using underwater communications. With that in mind, the GFFM was designed around a double seal. This along with many other great features (i.e. semi positive pressure, quick release 2nd stage, easy maintenance, etc.) is why you will find the Guardian is the best choice for your money when looking for a full face mask.  The Guardian Full Face Mask is comfortable and is easy to use for anyone. The low profile visor ensures great visibility. The ABV valve helps preserve your air when on the surface. Set up is fast and the hose is on the right side which helps to keep your configuration clean and organized.
Diving becomes effortless especially in cold water. The Guardian helps keep your face warm and being able to breathe out your nose helps keep you from getting a dry throat, which is common for divers who have long duration dives.

 
We spent several hours with all types of faces to find the right 2nd seal in the mask. Women and men both found the mask to be extremely comfortable. In some cases, women who could not dive any other full face mask were able to easily dive the Guardian (first prototype Guardian pictured - SLA molded). You can see the double seal looking into the Guardian full face mask. The larger seal will pick up larger faces. The inside seal will come into play if your face is small and goes past the larger seal. This makes for a comfortable fit.
   The mask bag was specifically designed for a full face mask. The design actually helps maintain the mask. The bag has large drain holes located on the bottom and a vent screen on the top. This helps in the drying process after diving. The bag also is designed to hold the full face mask upside down which ensures the water drains away from the 2nd stage regulator. However, the Guardian was designed with a quick release so the 2nd stage can easily be removed for storage and/or maintenance (download Mask Bag .pdf file).

One of the first to use the Guardian was Mr. Howard Hall.

His elite divers utilized the Guardian while filming using a large format camera.

Many women who have tried other full face masks have found them to be uncomfortable, to big and leak heavily in the temple area. Reports from our woman test divers are that the Guardian full face mask fits nicely, gives good visibility and easy to use. Of course we have already received request for PINK....
