Digicom 1000 DU Diver Transceiver

The Digicom 1000 DU was specifically designed to meet the requests of the British Royal Navy. It is a 5 watt unit with power enough to consistently reach ranges of 1000 meters. The unit has a limited voice menu compared to a SSB-2010 or SSB-1001B. The menu will only allow the user to choose from Voice Operated Transmission (VOX), Push-to-talk (PTT), Volume High or Low. The diver can easily access this menu while diving by simply depressing the PTT button 3 times. The voice menu will activate and the user can make his choice/s. If the user depresses the PTT button 3 times and holds it, the unit will read back all voice menu settings. This allows the diver to know his settings whenever necessary.

Digicom 1000 DU offers two channels selected inside the battery compartment. The Squelch and VOX sensitivity controls are also located inside the battery compartment.

A unique feature of the Digicom 1000 DU is that it has a extended battery compartment. This allows a double Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack to be used allowing 12+ hours of use! The combination of an Interspiro full face mask and an EMA-2 dual earphone/microphone assembly, yields intelligibility hard to beat. The Digicom 1000 SU Surface Station is a great choice when a surface station is required.
